What is Reiki?
Reiki is a simple, yet powerful, non-intrusive method for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through our bodies and gives us life. Low life force energy may lead to increased stress and vulnerability to sickness, while high energy allows us to be happier and healthier in our lives.
The Reiki Process
The client (fully clothed) lies on a treatment table, or sits comfortably in a chair. The practitioner will place hands lightly on or above key positions of the body facilitating the flow of energy. The most common experience is a release of stress and a feeling of deep relaxation.
What Does a Session Involve?
Reiki healing is a simple process that starts with the client lying on a treatment table or sitting comfortably in a chair (fully clothed). The practitioner places his or her hands lightly on or above key positions of the body easing the flow of life force energy. These areas often include the head, chest and hips. During this healing technique, clients can expect to feel deeply relaxed and relieved of their stress.
